Bio

I've been a middle school and high school science teacher for nearly my entire career. Currently I am a technology services analyst, and oversee our district tech help desk. I also coordinate training for a team of 60 field software technicians that support all classroom technology.

Interests and Hobbies

Naturally I'm a gadget guru, and enjoy science reality and fiction. I'm into magic, music, alternative energy usage (I own a Chevy Bolt), and am passionate about inquiry-based teaching. I'm also due to retire in June 2019 after having completed 37 years in public education. It's been a GREAT ride!

Contemporary/Top 40, Rock, Jazz, Liturgical, anything rhythmic.

Favorite TV Shows and Movies

Star Trek, Merlin, any action and adventure genre.

Favorite Books

I usually don't read books, but I'm constantly reading short articles and technical briefs.

Teaching Passion

Middle school science curriculum based on inquiry approach. This is the way all knowledge is generated and maintained. A spiral and sequential curriculum that builds on prior knowledge is the best for constructing learning opportunities for students.
