Saving lesson as a PDF

Cameron.Nichols's picture

I create my math lessons on Mimio. I want to post them to my web site as a PDF so my students have access to them from home. How can I do that?

Answer:

What a great idea! To do this go to FILE>SAVE AS in MimioStudio Notebook and then at the bottom of the SAVE AS menu you will see FILES OF TYPE. Drop down that menu and select PDF from the list there. You will have the option to save the current page, all pages, or a selected page range. You are also able to select the picture size. Once you've selected the above options simply click on OK and you now have a PDF copy of your lesson. Just be sure to save your original lesson first as a regular .ink file before saving it in another format!

The MimioMobile App

Tracy Tishion's picture

How can I get the MimioMobile app for my classroom? Is there a free version of the MimioMobile or just a paid license version?

Answer:

Thank you for such a good question because there are a few steps involved in getting the MimioMobile application for your classroom and devices. Currently the devices that support the app are the iPad 2, 3, 4, and mini as well as iPhone 4 and above, iPod Touch (4th generation and above) and finally Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) or higher. You will need to simply contact a Mimio representative to purchase an annual MimioMobile license for your classroom computer or laptop (at which time you will be given an activation key) and then every mobile device in your room can download the app for no additional fee. The difference between the licensed and free versions is that the free one allows teachers to connect up to three devices only.

The MimioMobile app links quickly with a simple point-and-click to the teacher's MimioStudio software. Just scan the QR code displayed on the whiteboard, and connect instantly. The app allows up to nine (licensed)student devices to work simultaneously on a MimioStudio lesson, with each student's work displayed at the front of the classroom. You can use multiple device types, Apple and Android, at the same time as well as phones, MimioPads, and MimioVote assessments. For a brief video on the MimioMobile app simply follow this link: http://www.mimio.com/flash/video_player/mimiomobile.html If there is anything else you need assistance with, don't hesitate to check back in or peruse the bank of suggestions and tips in the Ask a Master section of MimioConnect. Losing Toolbar

Cameron.Nichols's picture

I seemed to have lost the Mimio tools. How do I get it back?

Answer:

Excellent question and one that we see quite often. It is possible that the toolbar gets hidden between different applications you have open if you are switching back and forth. You should be able to open up for Toolbar from TOOLS>MIMIOSTUDIO TOOLS in the top menu of notebook, from the shortcut on your computer or from the paintbrush icon in the lower right hand corner of MimioStudio Notebook. If for some reason you are still not able to find it I would save your document and close out of Notebook completely and then reopen it.
