Following a study of the lines and spaces in the treble clef, I created this fun activity for the students to practice reading pitches on the music staff.

In this lesson, the teacher 'reveals' the pitch to the students. (The students are divided into teams---or however you want to do it) In my two teams I have them sit in a single file line and each team sits behind a barred instrument (metallophone). I reveal the pitch and whoever chimes in on their instrument first gets to answer.

The second portion of the activity is similar, only the students use their skills in another form. This time I reveal a letter of the music Alphabet A,B,C,D,E,F,G and the students have to compete to draw the pitch in the correct line or space.
