thanks...

Thanks for the videos. I have watched them both, actually three videos, and that has helped me with a lesson I wanted to modify for my use. I appreciate your help and will check out the Quick learn sessions.

More help please

Just consider me technology challenged! I really am not a stupid person, but when I create a text box, type in a name, put it over the eyeball, then how can I select both to group??? I see the groupong function but can not select both. I tried everything I knew. Thank you for your time. Brenda

grouping

No problem! To select more than one object, you need to be in select mode (pointer - upper left on the tool menu) You can then select multiple objects in a couple of ways: 1) holding down your shift key, select the items you want to group. Then right click and choose Grouping -> Group. 2) Drag your cursor over the objects you want to group - this will select them all. Then right click and perform the grouping action as in #1.

Adding names to templates

Hi Brenda!

To add your names to these templates, you need to use the grouping and ungrouping function of the MimioStudio software. If you have an object with a name already on it (I think there is one page with this in the lesson) select the object, right-click, select Grouping -> Ungroup. This will let you select the text box where the name is typed, and type in a different name. Make sure you reverse the process, and group your name and object again. If you are adding a name to an object that does not yet have text, select the text tool on your Mimio Toolbar (T), and type in a name. Place the created text over the object, select both, and group the two objects. Do this on each object with names of your students. That's all you have to do to personalize those pages (like the Christmas tree) where the students place their name/object ON the picture. For pages like the Halloween page, after you group the names and the individual eyeballs (ew!), you need to order the objects so they will go 'in' the cauldron. To do this, select an eyeball/name (which are already grouped together), right-click -> ordering -> back. This will allow the object to 'hide' behind the cauldron.

For a great, informative lesson on these and other processes, check out these videos:

Hope this information helps! Let us know if you have problems with any of this.
