Whack-A-Mole Music Dynamics Edition

Total views: 2264

This game is based on the template created by arthurc. On my Mac it takes a long time to load. Give it 2 minutes and it should come up.

It is an assessment using the music symbols and definitions for pianissimo, piano, mezzo piano, mezzo forte, forte, and fortissimo. Students play in teams to earn points based on their knowledge of the subject. It includes activities that require students to make predictions and make comparisons. Students also have to apply their knowledge of dynamics in music to complete a graphic organizer showing the relationship of the terms.

This is designed to be used in 5th and 6th grade orchestra classes, but would apply to general music, band, and choir as well.

I love the idea! I had to

I love the idea! I had to change it up for my class. As others have said, we use mp and mf for dynamic markings. I altered that, and cleaned up the slides. After that, it should work great for my kiddos.

whackamole dynamics lesson

I would love to use it, however the dynamic symbols need to be realigned first, or it would just be confusing to my class. Very creative and fun.
