Concentration Game Template

Summary:

This is a concentration game template that can be modified to meet a variety of uses at various grade levels. Step by step directions will allow teachers to match the game to their needs.

It is a great review to use when you have a few minutes of wait time.

Some ways I have used the template include: synonym concentration, homonym concentration, vocabulary/definition, fraction/decimal match concentration, time-line concentration (event-date). My students like it so much they began to suggest topics for use.

I'm obviously missing

I'm obviously missing something because I can download and play this however, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to customize it. Can someone please explain how to change the words after unlocking the page? I keep popping and re-popping balloons and can't seem to change the text. It's probably very simple but it has me stuck.

Hi Julie, Editing this lesson

Hi Julie,

Editing this lesson can be a little tricky, but there are some good directions on page 2 of the lesson.

Try doing the following to edit this lesson:

1. Open the lesson in MimioStudio Notebook

2. Click on "format" > "Locking" > "Unlock All"

3. Now using your selector tool from your MimioStudio toolbar, grab hold of the corner of the blue outline to move the
grouped bubble reveals out of the way of the text. You can also ungroup these by clicking on the blue outline and then
clicking on "Format" > "Grouping" > "Ungroup" which will allow you to move each bubble individually.

4. Now click on each text box to edit the text

5. When you are done, move the bubbles back over the words and lock down the page.

I hope that helps!

Flash problem

I just downloaded this. I installed the Adobe Flash, as required, but it still keeps telling me I need to install Flash to enable the program. I've restarted my computer, restarted Mimio. I'm at a standstill!

Videos and animations

If you have installed the most recent version of Adobe Flash, you may want to make sure you have the codecs needed to play multimedia files. For multimedia files to play in MimioStudio, Mimio will use the codecs from the default multimedia programs such as Windows Media Player (.wmv) or Quicktime (.mov). It will also take advantage of any other codecs that are installed within these programs for other file types. In order to play various file types, you will need to download the proper codecs. Follow appropriate link below:

Windows: http://www.mimioconnect.com/content/lesson/video_codec_pack_windows

Mac: http://multimedia.software.informer.com/download-multimedia-player-mac-c...

Please note that like with any third party application, Mimio Technical Support does not support nor assume any risk with these downloads.

.ink ?

I took the time to join just to get this lesson. HOWEVER, I cannot open it. I do not have the tablet program. What else can open this? How disappointing this site turned out to be.
