Items Tagged as "Making your lessons FLASHY"

I get asked quite a bit about how to incorporate interactive Flash files into lessons. I have found it to be short of a hobby to actively search out useful Flash programs and save them for future use. They are amazing to tie into any mimio lesson. I have provided a method that I routinely use in the Ask a Master section but wanted to see if any of you have other simpler methods of getting "Flashy" with it. I've seen longer more step intensive methods, but figure there's other ways out there. Share if you have something. :)

Will there be a patch for Flash player issue for Mimio Studio 7?

Hi, I would like to get some info. if there will be a patch or a major update for Mimio Studio 7 as I can't use any flash files since I upgraded my flash player. I know that mimio studio does not support flash player versions after 10.1, but why would we have to uninstall and install an older version instead of Mimio Studio to fix the issue?

Please HELP!!

I am a education student, and our college just received Mimios to use in our classes.. we are learning how to work them, and in one of my classes, the instructor wants us to use it.

Here is what I am planning: 1st grade lesson on Transportation,

For my first day, I would like to have a interactive poll, asking the students what mode of transportation they used to get to school today.
(Bus, Car, Walk, Boat etc)

Id like to be able to have each student see the image, and be able to come up to the front and make their choice.

My Flash Method

There are a variety of methods that allow you to bring in interactive Flash files from outside sources. Be aware that not all flash files can be downloaded by design and is a good idea to cite your source in your file to give due credit as well as to remember where you got it from in case you need to go back. One method I've used utilizes the web browser Firefox and add-ons that you can get at no cost. I've had the best luck with this method as a PC user. When viewing a website with Flash animation in Firefox, click on Tools>Page Info and then click the Media tab.
