My school just upgraded to Windows 7. We are using the Xsi bar. Most of the Mimios are working fine, but two of them seem to have a problem. They switch on and off all the time. They do this very quickly, so I don't even have time to calibrate it. I checked the USB cables and they're still plugged in properly.
What is causing this? Is it a driver problem? Any ideas on how to fix this?

I recently created a PowerPoint presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint. I displayed it using the Mimio projector. Is there anyway to utilize the Mimio wand and pen to mark up (or on or in) the presentation and have it register with on the PowerPoint presentation?
I think what I am saying is I have not found a way to utilize PowerPoints and Mimio, but I want to!
Any suggestions?

We have a few mimio boards at our school and have been having trouble with the wireless connection between the reader and the strip on the board. The pen will stop working and the only way we have found to get it working again, is to take the batteries out of the strip and put them back in to reset the system. We have tried moving the reader, unplugging the strip on the board, restarting the computer, but still the only thing that has worked is taking batteries out and reinserting them. They are the same batteries that were taken out.

I read about how one of the leading people with Mimio stated how Linux support would be an important issue for the Mimio. Using the most popular Linux distro, Ubuntu, I don't see that promise being put into acts: I have huge problems getting the software to work, problems that make usage in the classroom virtually impossible.

I am desperate for a detailed book that will teach me how to use the Mimio pad. All that came with the Mimio pad was a little pamphlet. I have tried, without success to use a .jpeg file, but it won't open. I have searched this site, but all I find for the topics I want to teach are lessons for little children, and my students are older. I also need templates for lessons. I tried Amazon and Scholastic, but no one seems to have a book on the Mimio. Please help.

I am looking to connect with other elementary music teachers who use Mimio boards. I am especially interested in finding K-4 folks who teach from a Kodaly/Orff methodology. There is very little on Mimio Connect for us compared to other subject areas. I am curious to learn how other music teachers are integrating IWB technology in their programs.

I am on Twitter, and at first I hated it. But now, I am "in" with a group of young math teachers who share their highs, lows and expertise on a daily basis. Everyone is very supportive and loves to help you. I would love to make a mimio Twitter group. If you want to follow me, I am scsocha.

I've a Mimio and it doesn't support Windows 7 dual screen. My set up is having one PC with dual output graphics card connected to 2 projectors. During calibration, it only allows one of the screen to be calibrated BUT NOT both. Consequently, I cannot use an extended desktop setting in Mimio.
I'm really desperate for a fix on this. Is there anyway I can contact Mimio software developer? Can I hack Mimio's registry to fix this? Or is there any other way to hack Mimio to support Windows 7 dual screen mode? This is urgent.
