Shapes in Art

This is an art lesson for first graders, but can be used in second and third grades effectively as well. Students recognize shapes in art and create a piece of artwork around a given shape.

ARTS & CULTURE MUSIC: TEACHING TONIC SOLFA FOR GRADES 1 + 2

In the lower grades (Grade 1 + 2), we do not use the music staff and 'notes' to teach tonic solfa / pitch and note values. Use the Music Land to teach tonic solfa (pitch).
