How do I use the gallery racing game?
Thank you for the great question! The MimioStudio Gallery has so many wonderful resources for teachers to use in lessons. The Racing Game can be found in the gallery, and can be used in conjunction with the MimioVote Assessment system.
Students will start their knowledge engines when you begin your race session with the Start template on any MimioStudio Notebook page. Next your students will be positioned for success with their MimioVote handheld units, as the anticipation of the red, yellow and green light countdown starts the race!
Students will now race to answer the question placed within a MimioStudio Notebook page using their MimioVote handheld units. The teacher can place a Progress template on the question page, or on the page following the question, and you will see it will automatically adjusts based upon the answers that students submit through the MimioVote units. The teacher can place the Progress template anywhere within your lesson, either on the question page, on a page of its own, or randomly throughout the lesson.
The Finish template can be used at the end of the activity, and it will show the top three places in the overall event. The Leaderboard template can be used at the end of the activity, and will show the overall places for the contest.

How can you use MimioVote Questions with existing PowerPoint lessons?
What a great question! You can use the MimioStudio Vote Add-in function to create any type of MimioVote activity in Microsoft PowerPoint. MimioVote activities are created by adding question slides to a PowerPoint presentation. A Vote Add-in feature includes a variety of pre-formatted question slide templates to make creating activities in PowerPoint quick and easy. The Vote Add-in feature should have been added to PowerPoint when you installed the MimioStudio software. If you go into PowerPoint you should see an add-in button in the menu on the right. If you click this you should see vote objects over on the left that will allow you to enter vote questions into PowerPoint. You can’t open vote files in PowerPoint but you should be able to create vote questions based in here.
