Why are there always so many sites, like mimio connect, that cater to K-6 and don't have much for older students? Give me a break, like I have to read "rules" on how to play a jeopardy review game with my sophomores?? Then, of course, older kids can't play "educational games" on our school computers because our wonderful service unit blocked all access to game sites. Kids can't have cell phones or i pods in school because they may do "bad things" with them. Let's see, we are supposed to use technology, and yet it seems like the older the kids get, the less curious we force the kids to be because they can't use any of the technology in school that they use for the other 16 hours of their life when they are out of school. We need to find better avenues to make school fun again for 16-18 year old kids and not all the emphasis on 6 year olds.
