Will there be a patch for Flash player issue for Mimio Studio 7?

Hi, I would like to get some info. if there will be a patch or a major update for Mimio Studio 7 as I can't use any flash files since I upgraded my flash player. I know that mimio studio does not support flash player versions after 10.1, but why would we have to uninstall and install an older version instead of Mimio Studio to fix the issue?

best regards,

Hi,

problems with upgrade

I called tech support. Apparently my problem is I updated FLASH, but the new version isn't supported in Mimio 8. My files crash ALL the time now.

Unfortunately, you can't remove the new flash and go back, at least that is what tech support says.

Ditto -- Windows 7, Studio 8.01

Were you able to get a fix for your issue? I'm seeing the same think, plus hyperlinking and action settings are causing crashes.

Flash problems

I tried to replicate your issue in Windows 7 with the update to MimioStudio 8.01 to no avail. I'm sorry that you are having troubles. Couple things you might try: reinstall the software as maybe there was a bad install or contact Mimio Tech Support as they do a great job at helping with problems. Here's the link: http://www.mimio.dymo.com/en-US/Support/Technical-Support.aspx or call 877.846.3721. Hope that helps!

Flash problems

I recommend contacting Mimio Tech Support with as much info as you can provide regarding your system, processor etc. I've had similar problems with XP Home edition computers running Mimio 8 crashing when using files with flash objects created with both Mimio Studio 7 and 8. As a temporary work around I've gone back to Studio 7 with an older flash player.

The tech guys have just contacted me today to say they've replicated my problem. The more examples we can give them, hopefully the quicker they'll be able to solve the problem.

Updating from 7.11 to 8

Hi,

Just my luck...right after I finish pushing out 7.11 to the district, 8 comes out. lol I currently install Mimiostudio via an Altiris job that calls "start msiexec /i \\path\filename /passive ALLUSERS="1". Now 8 is out, I place the msi file on our network and use the same cmd line to call it (of course, with the new filename). I saw someone wrote to not uninstall the previous version. My install appears stuck. I see "MimioStudio" in the taskbar and a partial install screen on my desktop, but nothing seems to be happening any more. Just stuck there. Any input on installing/upgrading this way? Am I missing a switch or something? Thanks very much.

Been playing with this a

Been playing with this a little bit and if I try running my Altiris job calling "start msiexec /i \\path\file /quiet" it appears to start, but kinda' freezes with nothing legible on the screen. If I run the same command from cmd prompt it gets to the point where it tells me it's going to update my current version to this one...I can choose either Ok or Cancel. If I click Ok it works fine. I would think adding "/quiet" to the cmd would cause it to just "Ok" past that screen. Any thoughts would be be much appreciated.
