Modifying Lessons

Travis Rink's picture

I was told that I can download a prepared lesson and then change the information to fit my lesson. Is this true? If so, how do I change the information?

Answer:

A great question that makes this community such a resource for all of us to share! Any lesson that you find (.ink) can be easily modified and adapted to your individual needs. Depending on how it was created, you can add, remove, or change any aspect of most files you'll find on mimioconnect. Many people lock the parts of their lessons so they can't be manipulated accidentally. To unlock, simply right-click and select UNLOCK ALL. This should unlock any items that can be changed. You might find that some objects have been grouped together also and this can be undone by selecting the object, right-click and choose Grouping>Ungroup. Some lessons may not have locked items and appear uneditable. These are going to be lessons involving imported Word, PDF, or Powerpoint files. Although the main aspects of these types of files you'll find can't be edited, you can get creative with reveal boxes, text boxes, and other items to cover what you don't want and add what you do. It will require a little creativity but can be done.
