Summary:

I use the follwoing slide the first 5 mintues of class. It gives each student a chance to be actively involved. The lesson can focus on: spelling, grammar,vocabulary,a variety of themes taught in genres and concepts taught in writing.

Sentence Corrections: allows for the students to be actively involved in working on correcting sentences. Focuses on spelling, capitaliztion, punctuation, and grammar.

Daily Sparks:gives teachers the ability to transfer downtime into productive time! The daily sparks are short 5 minute writes that I give my students at the beginning of class in order to wind down. The daily sparks focus on a variety of concepts and can even be used as a lesson opener!

Daily Vocabulary: vocabulary activities that focus on a variety of concepts.
