Each unit introduces 5 new sight words for students. Some are introduced with pictures and others are in a sentence. There are 6 pages to each unit with various activities to make the students more familiar with the sight words. The last page has an assessment of sorts in which the students read six sentences. I give the students the paper form of this activity as well so that as we complete it on the board, they are able to work at their desk as well. I have each student read their sentences to me individually and I highlight any words that give them trouble. I also send that page home for them to practice reading to their parents. I've seen great progress from my students through the use of these activities.
