The student will sort real world pictures into mammal, amphibian, and reptiles categories. The students will use real world pictures to identify the characteristics of each animal. The pictures will only show up visually in the white box if the animal belongs in that animal group (self correcting).

Great Lesson

I think this is a great sorting activity. I agree with the previous post that the pictures are little small. You could make the pictures more of the whole animal so the kids can justify their answers.

Classifying animals

For the purpose of identifying animals the activity is ok, for my students the pictures are to small and the characteristics are not properly identified in the pictures, i feel they could be a little more visible.
