Summary:In this interactive activity adapted from the University of Utah's ASPIRE Lab, learn about waves. See how a line of people create a wave by standing up and sitting down, and how a wave travels along a string. Explore how a wave moves through different mediums with a tool that allows you to adjust the density of the material and manipulate the direction of a wave disturbance. Also, investigate why a boat on the ocean bobs up and down and is not carried to shore by the water waves.
