Summary:In this video segment from Outdoor Nevada, host Brian Wignall and Alex Heindl examine scorpions, small but fearsome animals that have survived since long before dinosaurs roamed the planet. Scorpions are adapted to live in hot, cold, and other extreme environments. They can even go without food for up to a year. They shelter by day and hunt at night, using a stinger on their tail to kill prey and defend against predators. As with other venomous creatures, scorpions can regulate how much, if any, venom they release.
